  • Remember, when you find a resume format, know that an acting resume is quite different from a traditional resume. Acting resume templates are more similar to a modeling resume. There is lots of information in your acting resume that you’ll never put in a traditional resume, such as your height, eye color, hair color, and weight. That information isn’t relevant at all in traditional resume but is very important in an actor’s resume.
  • List all your past acting experiences and present them in a chronological order. It is a good way of presenting your information.
  • In addition to your experience, you can include another section for any special accomplishments. List all your special accomplishments and awards that are of course related to your acting career and this would make a lot of difference with your resume and might just help you get the role that you want.
  • What follows is your training and education information. If you have undergone training then list them all here, this will give you an edge from your competitors. If you have invested in acting lessons then definitely include this in your list.
  • A standard acting resume should not exceed one page in length, but if you have extensive experience or training then you can go over one page in certain circumstances. By the time you reach this level of experience, you will have a better sense of why you might do this.

Just remember that when you are making your acting resume, know that you are selling your ability to prospective employers. Make sure to make it stand out from the other candidates and it will get you auditions.
